“Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble” (Psalms 119:165, NKJV).
Peace is shalom, which means nothing missing, nothing broken. Many people missing something are looking for jobs, a spouse, children, money etc. Others broken, are dejected, depressed, frustrated, sick, dying or have given up. The requirement for Great Peace is loving God’s law or word. You need to hear, read, study, meditate, and apply it. After I got born again, I read the whole Bible through in about 8months, and besides studying it, have been reading it through yearly ever since. You will need a Bible Reading plan to do this.
Peace is a person. His name is Jesus Christ. Isaiah 9:6-7 says He is the Prince of Peace, and His peace has no end or is inexhaustible. He says in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
God’s peace is incomprehensible. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Out text says nothing will cause those who love God’s word and have great peace to stumble. This means no situation or circumstance will overwhelm such a person. This month, in whatever situation you are, or going through, I pray for God’s great peace for you, and your prayers will be answered. You will not fail, stumble or fall IJN.
