““He gives his king great victories; he shows unfailing kindness to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever”” (2 Samuel 22:51, NIV).
The greatest demonstration of the power of God was raising Jesus Christ from the dead, as a third of the host of heaven (Satan and his demons) were opposed to it. This victory over Satan, sin, death and hell belongs to anyone who believes in Christ and is saved. 1 John 5:4 says, “for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”
We access this victory by faith. This mean we must believe it and confess that we have it, in order for it to work for us. Mark 11:22-24, ““Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
We maintain it by continually submitting to God. James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” This is done by speaking the Word of God to him in faith, as in the example of Jesus. He countered the devil’s temptation three times, saying “It is written” and quoting the Scriptures in Matthew 4:4, 7, 10.
According to our text, this victory is continual, forever and is therefore applicable and available in any situation you may be going through. II Corinthians 2:14 NKJV, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”
I declare that this month, God will give you great victories and show you and all yours unfailing kindness in Jesus name.
