“Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires” (2 Peter 1:4 NIV).
The promises of God in the Bible are what delivers us from evil desires and depravity on account of captivity and bondage to the devil. They then impart to us God’s holy nature which enables us to walk godly. These promises in God’s word are his bond. They are the terms of the covenant He has with man in the blood of Jesus.
The Bible states expressly that he cannot break these promises. Isaiah 55:10-11 (NIV) says, “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Jeremiah 1:12 (AMP) also says, “Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfil it.”
Here you have the key to all that you need. Psalms 1:1-3 (NKJV) says, “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”
As you observe to be a consistent doer of these injunctions, you will be blessed and prosper in all that you do in Jesus name.
