  1. Rev'd Dele Amusan - Bermondsey Conference Pastor

Victory is a win over a challenging situation or an opponent. The world is full of challenging circumstances, but the Lord’s promise to us is that everyone who is born of God is an overcomer. If you have confessed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you are born of God. Your faith in the Son of God gives you victory over the world. Your faith in Jesus Christ causes you to have control over storms of life.

“8 Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. 9 And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. 10 Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there” (2 Kings 4:8-10).

In 2 Kings chapter 4:8-37, the Bible records the account of a Shunamite woman, who showed hospitality to prophet Elisha. She was wealthy but had no child, and her husband was old. In return for her act of service to Elisha, the Lord rewarded her with a long-forgotten desire of her heart. The Lord gave her victory over childlessness. As a child of God, there is never a time when it is not right to do the right thing, and there is never a time to do the wrong thing. Our Lord Jesus went about doing good.
