“Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve” (Jeremiah 32:19, NIV).
God has great purposes and plans for creation, especially for mankind.
Ephesians 2:10 NIV says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Jeremiah 29:11 says his plan is to prosper us, give us hope and a future.
According to Psalms 33:11, these plans stand firm forever and are unchanging.
We have the responsibility to determine God’s purpose and plan for our lives. He asks us in Jeremiah 33:3 to call to him, and he will answer us and tell us great and unsearchable things we do not know. In Luke 1:13-17, angel Gabriel revealed the purpose of John the Baptist to Zachariah his father, and in verses 30-35, he revealed the purpose of Jesus to Mary his mother. In Acts 22:10, the Lord asked Saul to go to Damascus where he will be told all that he has been assigned to do.
By working with God, trusting and depending on him, we can all fulfil his purposes for our lives. Psalm 138:8 says the Lord will fulfil his purpose for me. Acts 13:36 revealed that David fulfilled his purpose after which he died, and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 confirmed that Jesus also fulfilled his purpose.
In this last month of the year, I pray for revelations of purpose, and pursuit of fulfilment of purpose for each of us to fulfil destin
